    Description

This artisan-made Alligator Pot, was handmade by a local artist named Eurico in Belem do Par
    á
, Brazil, at the mouth of the Amazon River in 1972, where
I purchased it directly from him in his studio
    . It measures 10 1/2" in diameter,
    with a 7
½” handle, and weighs 4 lb. 14 oz. It is
made of unglazed soft clay, fired and painted, and signed by the artist.  It is an art piece and is not waterproof. Minor damage to alligator snout (repaired) and a small chip to underside of the eye. Otherwise in excellent condition. It is quite an eye
    -catching piece!
